 Dear Fencers, Coaches and Parents, Welcome to the 2006-2007 season. As in the previous seasons, ALL FENCERS who want to fence in DIVISION QUALIFIERS for Summer National Championships MUST PRE-REGISTER with the Division. The ENTRY DEADLINES for Qualifiers are in the table below. Registration is available at . However, if unable to use , a registration form is available on the Division website. The ENTRY DEADLINES for the Qualifiers are in the table below. For entries received after the entry deadline, LATE FEES will be charged.

Age Chart for Division Competitions

This chart is provided as a convenience for Division fencers. The official “Age Rules for National Level Tournaments” is published in the USFA Athletes Handbook for 2006-07. Fencers are strongly encouraged to check the Athletes Handbook at the USFA web site, before registering for qualifiers or National level tournaments, such as NAC’s, RYC’s, etc…

Rules for Competitions:

•  You must be a current USFA member and show proof of membership. If you have no proof of membership, you must join the USFA at the tournament.
•  Proper fencing attire is required for all events. Fencers must wear regulation uniform, mask and glove in good condition.
•  All events, unless otherwise specified, are OPEN - MIXED events.
•  All events are fenced ELECTRICALLY except Novice or otherwise specified.
•  The schedule lists the TIME for CLOSING of CHECK-IN.
•  Medals will be awarded for events with (6) or more entrants.
•  The Entry fee for non-qualifying events is $20. The Entry fee for Youth & Novice (dry) events is $30.
• Pre-registration for Youth & Novice (dry) events: Fencers must pre-register at least one (1) week prior to the event at www.askfred.net. The Entry fee for these events is $30 at the door, however for pre-registered fencers there will be a $10 discount. Non pre-registered fencers will not be turned down at the door, however full ($30) entry fee will be charged.

Pre-registration for National Qualifiers: Fencers must pre-register with the Division by the entry deadline. The Registration form is on the Division website. For entries received after the entry deadline, LATE FEES (double the registration + event fees) will be charged! If using the registration form, please fill the form legibly and provide USFA number on the form, see News & Views.

  Training events: Get ready for the Summer Nationals. Three hours of intense, round-robin fencing. These events are not USFA sanctioned competitions, but club sponsored training sessions, open to all fencers, even if you’re not going to the Nationals. Come, fence hard, break a sweat, have fun.
